Before traveling from the USA

  1. Print all documents received from Amity Travel, which include the visa document, travel itinerary, and travel insurance. Please make sure to have all documents at hand (printed, not electronic) on the day of travel and during your Umrah trip.
  2. Make sure your smartphone is unlocked.
  3. Please ensure that your mobile device has a working version of WhatsApp, as it is our primary mode of communication. Amity is not responsible or liable for the maintenance and operation of your WhatsApp application and mobile device; it is your responsibility to keep them in working order.
  4. Download the Nusuk app (Apple App Store / Google Play) and register. It lets you book a time to enter the Rawdah in Madinah. Choose Arabic or English, register for your preferred time, and follow the instructions.

Note: Rawdah dates in Nusuk are limited, and the app only lets you book within a certain number of days. Check daily and book whenever a time is available during your stay in Madinah. If you used the Eatmarna app on a previous Umrah, Nusuk is the same app renamed — log in with the same credentials. Otherwise, create a new ID and password.

Make sure not to book during Mazarat times.

Group instructions

Amity Travel is honored to serve you on this spiritual journey. We kindly ask you to follow these instructions:

  1. Please contact the group scholars for all religious Umrah questions.
  2. Follow the flight itinerary included in your package. Michigan travelers depart from Detroit Metro Airport; out-of-state travelers follow the itinerary in their package envelope. Contact the Amity Travel office or group leader with any questions.
  3. Travelers who purchased their own tickets must match the group's departure and arrival times, and inform the group leader of any itinerary change.
  4. Put Amity Travel tags on all luggage to help staff locate it in case of loss. Michigan travelers receive tags at the airport; out-of-state travelers are shipped tags.
  5. Make an extra copy of important documents such as passport, visa, and vaccination card.
  6. Keep all medication in your hand luggage.
  7. Your phone number on file will be added to the group leaders' WhatsApp group. When you receive the welcome message, reply introducing yourself and your state. You will receive regular instructions and updates.
  8. Bring sunglasses.
  9. You are responsible for your personal belongings, including any damage or loss.
  10. Amity provides a gift kit with male Ihram clothing in your Madinah hotel room.
  11. There is a lecture in Madinah before leaving for Makkah, and a video on how to perform Umrah is sent to you and the group, Insha'Allah.
