Sample itinerary
Day 1: Depart the US for Cairo
- Travel from your US gateway to Cairo.
Day 2: Arrive in Cairo
- Transfer to the Four Seasons Nile Plaza.
Day 3: Giza & Saqqara
- Step Pyramid of Djoser, a local carpet school, the Giza Pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre.
Day 4: Egyptian Museum & the Citadel
- Egyptian Museum on Tahrir Square; lunch in the city.
- Saladin Citadel and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali.
- Khan el-Khalili, al-Hussein Mosque and El Fishawy café.
Day 5: Islamic Cairo & Nile dinner cruise
- Gayer-Anderson (Beit al-Kritliya) Museum.
- Al-Azhar Mosque and a walk along al-Muizz Street: the Qalawun Complex, al-Aqmar Mosque, al-Hakim Mosque and the medieval walls.
- Two-hour Nile dinner cruise with a Tanoura show.
Day 6: Grand Egyptian Museum & the Pyramids view
- Lunch at the 9 Pyramids Lounge on the Giza plateau.
- Half-day tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Day 7: Fly to Madinah · Umrah begins
- Flight Cairo–Madinah (no ihram needed before arrival).
